Introduction
It is now time to design your intro and conclusion slides. These slides will allow you to showcase your name, contact information, the video title, and credits. These slides are the first and last impression of you and your video. These slides should have visual appeal and follow the design principles and rules of typography.
Slide Dimensions (4:3 or 16:9)
The standard video aspect ratio is 4:3. Open a new Photoshop document that is 10″x7.5″ with 96 resolution. This will give you a finished 960×720 (or 4:3) pixel movie. Design all of your slides here in Photoshop to keep a consistent size, look and feel. Save and use this Photoshop document as template for your project.
You could also setup a widescreen 16:9 layout for your video. Open a new Photoshop document that is 1280 pixels by 720 pixels. This will give you the correct dimensions for a widescreen layout.
Slide Information
You must have the following minimum information in your video podcast. This will ensure that your work is being recognized and the design, audio, and video work used in your podcast is being attributed.
Intro slide
- First & Last name
- Personal Brand Mark
- Title of video
- Contact information (This can be an email or other form of contact)
Conclusion slide(s)
- Credits can be before final frame
- Must end on at least name, personal brand mark, & contact information
