Week 7 Overview

We are having some issues with iLearn 🙁 This page has been setup to help you still submit your assignments this week.

Friday 8:00am

  • Start book design in InDesign
  • Insert redesign plan (from last weeks blog post)
  • Insert style guide A (Colors, swatches, typography, etc)

Alternate Submission: Please send me an email with your assignment IF you cannot submit your assignment in iLearn before 6:00am on Friday morning. Please don’t send any email submissions before 6:00am Friday morning.

  • Insert style guide B (Logos, placement recommendations, etc)

Blog Post Submission Instructions

(If you cannot access iLearn)

View the P4 Activity: Style Guide B before submitting your assignment.

Do not post your permalink in BrainHoney before you have completed your blog post. This is dishonest and can result in activity or course failure.

Blog Post Instructions

You will use this blog post to describe and showcase the work that you have done in class this week. Your blog should include the following elements:

  • A summary of what, how, and why you created your assignment for this week. Include details about the assignment requirements and how you met them. Write this for those who are not part of this class.
  • Upload your 3 page PDF to Scribd.com and embed it in your blog post. This will allow others to see your work.

  • A summary of the Breathe logo redraw assignment. Once again include details about the assignment requirements and how you met them.
  • Save your Breathe logo redraw as a JPG and insert it into your blog. Also include the original Breathe JPG logo provided that you downloaded from BrainHoney. Label these “Original” and “Redraw”

Submission (This is due Saturday at 5:00pm):

  1. View the sample blog post.
  2. Hit “New Thread”
  3. Attach the .eps Breathe Logo to this thread (Upload this to your website and include it in your blog post if you cannot access iLearn)
  4. Copy/paste your blog post permalink to this thread. Make this link clickable by highlighting and hitting the “Insert Edit Link” button.
  5. Hit “Post” to submit your assignment.

Comments (This is due Saturday at 11:59pm): 

  1. Choose two new classmate’s projects to comment on (Choose two different classmates each week)
  2. Press “reply” on the classmate’s thread
  3. Leave a meaningful paragraph of at least five sentences
  4. Highlight what you liked about their submission.
  5. Provide feedback on improvements that could be made to further enhance the effectiveness of this portion of their project. Provide specific ideas and suggestions in support of your comments.
